When I go out hiking I have plucked the heads off the desert marigold, a wild flower that grows here. When I come home I scatter the seeds where I would like some plants. Here is one that has grown from those seedings. This is by my front gate. I'm getting more flowers all the way up the driveway and in other areas. I love their bright colorful splash of color. They are cut and come again too. If you dead head them and water they continue to bloom.
