Miss Chitty Chat, my pet hen who can get in and out of the chicken yard. She has taken to following me around and greeting me when I have coffee on the back porch. Here she is checking out the zuccini row in the garden She is the hen who hatched chicks on the first day of Spring.

The garden this week. I had to place netting over the swiss chard and peanuts as everything was being eaten. The radishes were being eaten right into the ground. I think it is both quail and wild rabbits. I see them both busy in the very early mornings.

I plan to weave these polm fronds into a cattle panel and put on the top of the shade house. I have planted birdhouse gourds and climbing beans on the back panel. I am also going to plant kiwi to climb the back panel.
