The palm tree at sunset. Tropical evening, warm breezes.
Palm trees got pruned today sure do look better. I went to town and got more plants. Ha, ha, more plants to put in their place.
The garden from another view. I have tomatoes on the porch in pots, herbs, artichokes, and peppers. Some will go out in the garden later
.
The vegitable garden is making progress. I plant the 3 sisters in the tires and cover them until they are large enough to handle a few rabbit nibbles. I've been planting the a little at a time to have a slow ripening season. They all have corn some have pumpkins, squash or melons and all have climbing green beans. I have swiss chard, beets, radishes, zuccini, and asparagus planted here, plus a row of corn and climbing green beans.
Prickly pear flowes close up. Some yellow, some copper or apricot.
The prickly pear is loaded with blooms. If each flower produces a fruit there should be enough fruit to make a bit of jelly.
It was windy when I took this but I just love the desert bird of paradise. They have the most beautiful flowers. We have been having such high winds. Yesterday was beautiful after a week of wind and suddenly I look out the window and the wind is blowing dust again.
